Fractured

On some level every person that comes to the Lord has pain and injury from Fractured | My Daily Letters - MDL

Each person that comes to Me starts out fractured and in need of repair, with injury and pain held in their hearts, like a bone that is broken requiring mending. Some have wounds which need only a small amount of care to relieve their discomfort, for the insult they received brought in only a little damage, and so these may not even be aware of their need for healing. Yet each life, on some level, will know the pain of rejection or have words spoken that hit rather hard, regardless of their confident exterior.

A person can deny wounds exist by thinking incidents from long ago were such small matters that there is no reason for a closer examination into what had happened, and therefore see no grounds to have Me apply the salve of healing. So then, they leave these injuries untreated, thereby bringing discomfort when thoughts of those past days drift over to the point of impact, that spot where the unkindness had been offered; when the sharpness of those moments cut an open space for offense to enter, thus reshaping the structure of their identity which has kept them from achieving true alignment with Me. For when these types of wounds remain unattended, viewed in the idea of insignificant, then My children are left without knowing full victory.

Instead, a lie has been trusted, one that said to “move on”, keeping their heart in the shape of being a bit tattered. Though the injury may appear rather inconsequential, it still needs mending. Yes, there are some in My kingdom whose pain is plain to see for the suffering they have experienced has been more traumatic. However, that does not negate My desire to bring healing to every wound carried in those I consider beloved. For even the laceration thought of as old and stale should not be left without care, neither should any insult be set aside, lingering without being covered in the balm of forgiveness. But some of My children will look around, using comparison to the severely broken as the way to decide whether or not they qualify for healing. Yet, these are unaware that even a minor incident can leave a mark which will remain for all of their days unless I am allowed room to bring the proper treatment. Sadly, the notion of deriving any sort of benefit from My healing hands is put aside, thinking My attention is only given to more urgent cases, and My talents of mending reserved for those who have been through more intense pain.

My children need to be aware that it only takes one small wound for an untruth to set in, which then, like an infection that is left untreated, can easily spread, contaminating the soft areas of the heart as it spreads, creating a slight hardness that will thicken unless they seek correct care.

Damage done in the past can be erased with God's love from Fractured | My Daily Letters - MDL

This is why it is important for My beloved to pay close attention to what the Spirit is saying. For when He illuminates something from the past and draws it to the forefront of their thoughts, know that condemnation is never the point. The reality of what He is doing is to shine the light on those places not yet surrendered, things still held back from Me because of the unpleasant emotions associated with each hurtful memory. So instead of ignoring these thoughts when they surface, My children need to pause a moment, as if holding that space of time open, and give Me the room to re-position their view over these matters by shifting their thinking onto a better perspective: one which does not contain the word “victim” written across it in bold letters, as if forecasting the title of their days.

However, there is a redefining process which must take place, where each wound to the soul is addressed so that any lies remaining are exposed, then the one who has been open to this type of deep introspection won’t be found harboring disappointment. For when the pain of each insult is allowed to rise up to the surface of their heart by revisiting those moments where the wound was inflicted, these can know the relief of freedom, as even a nick from the smallest rebuff is washed away without any remnants of heartbreak left leading to residual pain. Once I am allowed to enter into these wished-to-be-forgotten places of hurt, the re-set of healing can happen rather quickly, as I do not desire My children to linger in a broken condition, nor exist with any form of deficiency or space where fullness is lacking.

So I say to these, “My goal is restoration”; of removing the bruises from the past so that this pain is not carried into your future: which then provides “wholeness” the space to expand into every part of your being; unfolding Truth into the distorted thoughts of deception (the lies from careless words spoken by another that you accepted as the correct description of your identity), thus defining, in part, who you consider yourself to be. So with the remarkable precision and steady hand of the most skilled surgeon, I am able to erase the damage done by every misconception. Through the reconstruction of thought, a new perception of identity can be brought forth as one that is no longer askew: bringing your mind into the right balance, centered with the correct understanding of who you are in Me.

So when one of these moments presents itself to you, don’t let it just pass by! Take the time to seek Me over this faded injury. For within its resolution may lie an experience with Me that you have never known before, where new thoughts and ideas about Me are able to stand because the inhibitor from the past has been washed away; where this vacated space has opened the room for a broader expression of who I am, taking our relationship to a deeper level of intimacy, and a closeness that can only be known by one who has undergone the mending of My healing hands.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalms 147:3
