A Passionate Pursuit

When the miner discovers where the bounty lies, does he not then seek after it in earnest, putting all of his efforts and resources into claiming its riches? Then, should not this same passion be applied by those in pursuit of My Kingdom, where every internal objection (the attitudes and appetites of the flesh which stand in the way of its apprehension) are vigorously subdued?

However, a vast number of those who regard themselves as “saved” have yet to recognize that, even now, darkness impedes their way, and as such, they are not walking in the fullness of their Kingdom identity. For until these perceive that the enemy still occupies portions of their inner man, indeed shall their internal freedom be inhibited. And since, in the modern day church, the enemy is not taught to be a real threat,  after all, believers now stand among the elect and, therefore, needn’t be concerned about the devil, as it is only the lost over whom he has any power. As such, do  these remain shackled by chains that could easily be shaken off. 

Ah then, a spiritual apathy has overtaken many of My children, for they are indifferent to the ongoing battle in the unseen. They cast off every notion that the demonic is still at work in their lives, thinking it has nothing really to do with them, choosing to believe that once they were saved, all darkness had to flee. As a result, they then apply behavioral modification tactics to curb any ongoing “sinful habits”, instead of contending with the darkness to which they are still in agreement. Thus have these settled for a lesser walk than that which has been afforded them through My Son, as they give little credence to the idea that His same power and authority also belongs to them. It is the adherence to this notion that allows the enemy to still dwell in their midst, for they have yet to force him out and take back that spiritual ground which rightfully belongs to them.

Because it is true that the spiritual ears of most believers today are more attuned to the enemy’s voice than My own, they readily adhere to his subtle suggestions, those designed to divert their attention onto earthly distractions, thereby acting as deterrents to a more ardent pursuit of My presence. These complacent children have chosen the easier route, which is: to give into temptation rather than actually making a stand against it. Since this indolent bunch do not regard their Kingdom privileges as something worth earnestly seeking, the greater internal freedom that would surely be known upon this noble quest shall never manifest, as it is only those who run hard after Me that shall reap this form of reward.

In earnest, then beloved, in earnest pursue Me! No longer give room for the voice of the enemy to lure you off course! For surely shall the enemy’s words urge you to seek that which entertains so that he is able to maintain his position in your life; as the one who is complacent, lacks the internal fortitude to send him away.

Let not these words fall upon deaf ears, or think to yourselves, “I will press in another day”. Today, today, seek Me in earnest! Today, make haste beloved, and do not delay!
