Have I not made My will known? Have I not spoken to My children that they have entered days of ascent, where I am beckoning them to step forward, to climb further up that high mountain of My holy habitation?
Yet most are content to stay exactly where they are, with their feet planted on a lower plateau. For to “press on” would require some discomfort, as surely their faith would be challenged should they choose to aim for the top of this majestic peak. Unfortunately, these lack the enthusiasm to forge ahead, which is the reason most have set up camp at much lower elevations.
Then like climbers with heavy packs, these children are strapped with “reluctance” upon their backs, and so are unwilling to trust that I have laid a sound path, and therefore, shall miss the spectacular vistas awarded those who stay true to My course, determined to scale the highest pinnacles of this endless terrain.
However, because this journey requires perseverance, and since very few have developed this necessary muscle, not many have traversed the vertical apex that leads to where My glory shines the brightest, though it is true that all are invited to join Me on this grand expedition. There is no reason for any to lag behind as all have been given permission to ascend without restrictions. I have not cordoned off any section of this route, setting it aside for only a small number of more qualified climbers to experience. It is simply an eager heart that breaks open the way to the endless stream of new and exciting encounters with Me.
So though the steepness of this slope only increases the higher an explorer climbs, I have already equipped each of My children with the necessary tools to scale the face of this summit. Then because not a single one can be found lacking the divinely designed instruments for spiritual ascent, what excuse have they for remaining on those lower plateaus?
Then it is time now to strike camp and venture onward. Cast off the pack filled with reluctance and, instead, lean in with perseverance: that useful tool bestowed upon you when Christ was allowed into your life. For all who are found in Him were blessed with this supernatural fortitude by way of Holy Spirit, and so are left without an excuse to remain any longer on a lower plateau.
So press back against your flesh which shall encourage you to make the easier choice, telling you, “it’s more reasonable to stay put”. Press in with your worship. Raise your voice with praise, and stand with a reverent heart and exalt My name. For here is the pathway that leads to ascension.
“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not set his mind on what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.” -Psalm 24:3-6
