In Unison With My Will

Although Paul was called to be an apostle, he was sent to a particular people group to preach the Gospel, for I desired the boundaries of My Kingdom to expand into every nation and region. So then, he was to go amongst the Gentiles with the Good News. Yet knowing this to be his divinely appointed task, he still allowed Holy Spirit to guide his steps, and would not enter a city or town unless permission was given from above.

Then what has changed in the current function and operation of My Body? For haven’t I still called forth some to be apostles: those chosen to establish the Ekklesia in different regions? And isn’t it true that others have been selected by My hand to be prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers?

However, unto each of these anointed ones, there are specific assignments to be carried out, for the unfolding of My will on the earth is set to a well-devised plan. Therefore, none should run forward under the impression that they’ve been given carte blanche to minister wherever My people gather. For simply because an invitation is extended, or a request for a visit is received, it should not be thought of as an automatic confirmation to proceed (just like it was with Paul, My apostle, who upon his first journey was prevented from entering Asia and Bithynia, as it was in accordance with My higher purposes that this was done).

So while the common thought found in My Body today is that once a believer is commissioned, he or she can simply charge ahead, this idea is not reflected in the Scriptures, as even My Son never took a step unless He had heard directly from Me.

Then know that those who have been appointed to minister are to do likewise, and wait for My assent before moving forward in any direction, and trust that I have good reason when a “no” is given.

Therefore who among you should then rely on his or her own judgment to determine the course I am laying, for it can only be traveled with precision by those who always allow Me to walk in the lead.

And so, whether I ask you to go from here to there, or stay in a particular region to build My Kingdom, you must yield to the pull of Holy Spirit and allow Him to guide your path, for He only ever moves in unison with My will.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” -Proverbs 3:5-6
