Just as a pace car is set out on the track to ready the vehicles for the contest ahead, so, too, was Holy Spirit sent to establish the spiritual momentum in the lives of My children. For He knows the Father’s will, and therefore, is keenly aware of when it is time to slow the pace, or when the speed needs to be quickened so that the race continues according to plan, following the course the Father had laid out before waving the starting flag.
Then which driver in the field, upon entering the track, opens his engine up to full speed? Not one, as these are only the preliminary laps, given so that each vehicle has a chance to adapt to the track and warm up for the challenge ahead.
So then, are there any among My children who should expect to be given the green flag before I deem them ready to accelerate? And while some have shot out ahead, thinking themselves more than equipped to handle the race at a faster pace, after miscalculating when or where to turn, these wind up in a ditch unable to continue in the race until any internal damage is repaired.
And so, in order to avoid this from playing out in their lives, those who are Mine should be content to remain at the rate of progression I deem fit, even if the pace is slower for more than a few laps. Understand that the reason behind any delay in acceleration is for your own good, because I know that sending you out sooner onto the faster track will cause you to crash, as you are still in need of more spiritual training, making you more than equipped to steer the wheel in unison with My Spirit. When I purposefully hold one of My children back, it is, therefore, with this intention in mind, and not because they are considered less valued than those already moving forward at a higher clip. It’s the depth of their spiritual maturity which I use to determine when My own are developed enough to bear the greater responsibility of their calling.
Those of you who have been chosen, those who understand that they have a higher purpose, should seek Me before launching forward at full speed. For unless and until I give you permission to open up your engine and take off, you are to wait, resting at this slower speed.
But don’t spend these moments with the attitude of “biding your time”: of “enduring” until you are allowed to move on. For at this slower pace, there is much to learn which only winds up benefiting you in the end. Enjoy these days, and don’t be in such a hurry to cast them aside, as there is an abundance of deeper insight to be gained during this developmental process. Loose off any thoughts which speak to frustration, and instead, lean in and enjoy the ride.
