How beautiful is the amber light, and how glorious are the radiant skies which flow across this land, where the beams of freedom shine as golden rays glistening in the sun. Like the dawn of a new day, this nation was birthed where both the pauper and the advantaged stand side by side with the same rights, for it is true that all of mankind is equal in My sight.
Oh, how blessed are those who live upon her shores, for these citizens have surely known the favor of the Lord. What other people can boast of holding such privilege as to walk without the limitations of man’s rule over their lives?
However, this people is unlike any other, for each one was given a voice to freely express their thoughts with impunity, since this birthright was guaranteed without exception to all who are called “Americans”.
Then let none forget their good fortune to have been born upon this fine soil where the people determine their governance, and so are protected from subjugation or tyranny.
No other nation on the earth was founded on such a high ideal: that man was “given” freedom, yet not from other men, but this right to life, liberty, and happiness was endowed to the individual by his Creator. And so when this republic was established, its tenets were written to safeguard this gift which I bestowed upon all those who walk the earth.
Who, then, shall say to his brother, “You may not speak!”, when this right was given by the Highest authority, and protected under the laws of this land?
Therefore, none should seek to suppress the expressions of another, even when their words or ideas are offensive. For to bless or to curse is left up to each man which he will choose to speak.
Then let those from My courts be honorable in their discourse with others, even those who reject Me as their King. Guard your hearts against taking up offense towards those who, with harsh rhetoric, speak out against you, for these have the right to voice their opinion even if their judgment is misguided. Instead, offer a gentle response so that their wrath is exhausted, and the warmth of brotherly love can be kindled
“But no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it, we bless our Lord and Father, and with it, we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.” James 3:8-12
