When darkness appears to have prevailed, does that mean I have abandoned My children? And if the measure of suffering increases against the Church in certain regions of the world, should one conclude that I have forsaken these children, though I promised to never leave any who belong to Me?
Then just because the Taliban has seized control of a country, oppressing under their hand any who believe in Christ, is not evidence that I have forgotten these believers. Indeed, I am still ever-present in their midst. For when persecution comes against My children, it is a sure sign that the fires of revival are about to spread, bringing the advancement of My Kingdom upon the earth. Though it grieves Me to see the wicked deeds done by man upon his fellow man, I am moving through the depths of this depravity and turning to good what the enemy meant for evil. So while suffering shall endure in the night, come morning light, rejoicing shall be heard across the land, for many more will have chosen redemption’s path.
Although sorrow is certain to multiply in this season, those who follow Me shall have their joy increased, as a fresh outpouring of Holy Spirit washes over them like an all-consuming blaze. Then, using the eyes of their spirit, My own should regard the hour, for it is in this time of great travailing that the promised renewal shall break forth.
Therefore, intercede for your brethren who right now are facing immense persecution. Pray that Holy Spirit strengthens their hearts so that they remain unwavering in their faith, determined to stand in the name of My Son, unwilling to renounce His Lordship as the bargaining chip used to spare their own lives.
So entreat Me now to move upon Afghanistan. Ask for My perfect peace to overtake the hearts of those who shall surely feel the blade of martyrdom. But instead of desiring that some sort of vengeance is unleashed upon the heads of your enemies, pray that their hearts are softened and ready to receive the Gospel Message. For surely amongst these militants and extremists are some of My children: those who have yet to savor the sweet flavor of true freedom.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” -Matthew 5:43-45
