The Spirit Of Diotrephes Lives On

For this bullying spirit believers must keep watch because The Spirit Of Diotrephes Lives One | My Daily Letters - MDL

Those who would presume to judge My prophets are a foolhardy lot, for they have forgotten that it is I who establishes one as such. Yet, again and again, this behavior occurs, for willful ignorance and self-exaltation still dwell within the Church; and so the spirit of Diotrephes lives on.

So even now My “mouthpieces” are bullied into silence, for their fellow brethren, those who desire a prominent position amongst the assemblies, seek to discredit others that speak with a higher authority, as their hearts yearn to be seated above the rest. With fleshly tools their platforms are erected, as it is their own hands that have built these lofty towers. Then with an air of superiority do these self-appointed leaders assert their dominance, using maligning words to cut the legs out from under their brethren, especially those who walk in My authority.

So beware, dear ones, for the spirit of Diotrephes is a relentless foe who will not easily give up once he is allowed in amongst you; and will look for every opportunity to place himself as top dog within your assemblies, thus pressuring all to yield control to him. Heed, then, these words of caution: for though much change is coming upon the Church in this season, those demonic forces roaming the earth remain the same, and, as such, will seek to exploit any fleshly weakness found in My children. Remember, none who are Mine are called to take a backseat to anyone but were created to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their fellow brethren.

So place a guard over your own hearts and keep a vigilant eye upon My households, lest the spirit of Diotrephes is given permission to enter. For his destructive nature will quickly hamper My building efforts by creating breaches of division along newly formed lines.

“I have written something to the church, but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself first, does not acknowledge our authority. So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. And not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers, and also stops those who want to and puts them out of the church.” 3 John 1:9-10
