This Season Of Adversity

Often aftershocks cause more damage than the initial earthquake from This Season Of Adversity | My Daily Letters - MDL

It’s not only the initial quake that causes damage but the shaking of the aftershocks that bring further destruction upon civilizations. So though the first jolt usually packs quite a punch, those tremors that hit in the hours and days afterward have the potential to bring ruination upon the lives of many.

Then, with a devastating force, this nation will shake, as if experiencing an intense seismic event. However, the impact of this first blow is only the beginning of the turmoil that shall follow, for there are always unexpected repercussions when man plots to do evil to other men. And while the epicenter of this nationwide quake shall originate on the Eastern Coast, its undulations shall be felt across the entire land, undermining the very foundation upon which this country rests. Even now the early warning tremors of this giant temblor are present, creating an unsettling feeling which fills the atmosphere, making those who are paying attention aware that the nation is about to experience greater suffering and hardship.

Then just as it is when a natural disaster strikes any community and relief crews are sent in to rescue those buried beneath the rubble, so, too, are My children called to step in and help any who are found in need. For this hand of compassion might open the path to salvation, as it is in this season that the promised revival shall come forth.

Therefore, those who are Mine should not tarry but must take the time now to prepare for what shall surely be difficult days. For in this time, seeking My presence should be your first priority, as it won’t be your own strength that shall see you through this season of adversity.

Then you who are listening, take this warning seriously, and build yourselves up in Me, for I shall fortify your inner man so that you are able to stand without wavering even when the aftershocks continue to hit.

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.” Jude 1:20-23
